Antique Ironstone Sugar Bowl by Ashworth Bros
Antique Ironstone Sugar Bowl by Ashworth Bros
This antique ironstone china sugar bowl by Ashworth Bros dates back to the 1860s and features exquisite Aesthetic Movement transferware. The bowl, complete with a lid and handles, is adorned with detailed floral and insect designs in a rich brown hue, along with graphic accents on the handles. While the piece shows some age-appropriate wear, including small chipping on the rim and a minor manufacturing flaw in the form of a small crack, it remains a large and charming example of 19th-century craftsmanship.
Please note: These are vintage items which have a rich history. While I do my best to provide an accurate description, please closely review the photos to admire each item and review its unique history and idiosyncrasies.
